It's all nicely-done with good graphics, effects and sounds although the interface is a bit "mobile" (no tooltips, left click only, no "escape key = back out of things". There's treasure, loot, weapons, spells, leveling of the player, stats etc. If you reveal a monster you don't have to fight it and it doesn't chase you (because "you" don't exist on a tile) but the monster will block some other tiles until you kill it. If you don't know what that is like: you don't have a player sprite or location on the screen: instead you click anywhere on the map (which doesn't scroll) to reveal what's on the square.
